“You are not your age, nor the size of clothes you wear,
You are not a weight, or the colour of your hair.
You are not your name, or the dimples in your cheeks.
You are all the books you read, and all the words you speak.
You are your croaky morning voice, and the smiles you try to hide.
You’re the sweetness in your laughter, and every tear you’ve cried.
You’re the songs you sing so loudly when you know you’re all alone.
You’re the places that you’ve been to, and the one that you call home.
You’re the things that you believe in, and the people whom you love.
You’re the photos in your bedroom, and the future you dream of.
You’re made of so much beauty, but it seems that you forgot
When you decided that you were defined by all the things you’re not.” ~ Erin Hanson

This beautiful woman was my last client in before Covid lockdown a few months ago, and I’m so glad we were able to capture these incredible images just for her. As a mum who spends most of her time taking care of other people, she knew she wanted to treat herself after the birth of her two children, and remind herself of the fierce, gorgeous and sensual woman she is!

“The experience with Steph is not just the shoot but the whole journey leading up to it! I felt looked after from the moment I inquired until the final product!! I felt very comfortable during the shoot- had heaps of fun actually! Don’t know how to pose but Steph made me feel at ease and help me achieve the silhouettes I was after. She worked quickly and she has such a good eye for best angles. Thanks Steph, I plan to see you in every milestone, when I turn 40/50/60!”

What a joy it brings me to be able to capture these intimate portraits for my clients. To be able to show them how incredible they are through someone else’s eyes. To be able to reignite the passion between partners. To be able to change someone’s life.

“To the women who are labelled aggressive. Keep being assertive. Bossy, keep leading. Difficult, keep telling the truth. Too much, keep taking up space. Awkward, keep asking hard questions. Don’t shrink yourself to make other people happy. Be yourself, you’re beautiful that way.”

Don’t shy away from the world and hide yourself. It’s your time to shine and step forward. Embrace everything about yourself. Reclaim your confidence as a woman.
